Cashyra, born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, now resides in Charottte, NC. She
began singing at the very young age of four years old. At the age of six, she traveled singing with her mom and two younger siblings in the gospel group "For His Glory".
Cashyra developed her skills by singing in many different types of venues, and additionally sharing the stage with several renowned gospel artists.
In 2005, she began faithfully serving in her church as the Praise and Worship Leader
and has since gone on to release her debut soulful and gospel album entitled "GREAT DAY" in September 2011. This album is comprised of different gospel flavors such as jazz, neo-soul, urban, hip-hop, and contemporary music. Her debut project also led her to receive three 2014 Rhythm of Gospel Award nominations (including SONG, CD, and ARTIST of the Year).
In 2000, she worked as a Radio Personality for WNCU (North Carolina Central University) and also at K107 FM Jamz. She also hosted 2 Gospel Video TV shows airing across the world. In 2006, she became the CEO of her own business, “TGP Graphics and Print.” In 2010, she founded “H.I.S. Poetry" and an all-women empowerment group called “Fa’ the Ladies”. In 2015, Cashyra was licensed and ordained as an Evangelist.
Cashyra is an anointed, energetic woman of God, whose mission is found in Luke 19:13: “Occupy till I come.” Hence the reason why she's compassionate about sharing her gift of preaching and singing the gospel of Jesus Christ to as many people as she can until the coming of the Lord!
She knows, without doubt, that she was BORN TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP God all the days of her life!
